We also plan to move a Special Resolution to change Section 19 of our Approved Rules, so please read full details in the agenda and be ready to vote for or against this motion. We’re very keen to have new Management Committee Members join us in 2019, so please consider nominating for a position. It’s a rewarding way to be connected to our vibrant community of PLV members and visitors. Positions for 2019 will include:
- President (chairs meetings)
- Treasurer (oversees financial matters)
- Secretary (keeps minutes of meetings)
- Events Coordinator (coordinates speakers for monthly Connect and Learn, Valley Visits and Workshops)
- Communication Officer (oversees our Facebook Group, MailChimp emails and Website)
Di Piggott, a second generation cheese-maker who owns and runs Awassi Sheep Cheesery in the Grantham Hills, will be our guest speaker following our AGM.
Join us as Di talks about her Farmstead Dairy that produces a variety of Artesan cheeses handcrafted on the farm from 100% sheep milk. Awassi sheep milk is naturally homogenised, high in fat and proteins, low in lactose and makes very high-quality cheese and yoghurt. Their speciality cheese is the “Grantham”.
A cheese tasting plate will be served for afternoon tea.
Di will also have cheeses available for purchase.
Annual PLV membership is $40 per person or $30 for the second Member living in the same household (therefore $70 for two adults), and membership forms will be available on the afternoon for anyone wishing to join.
Everyone is welcome (including children who are closely supervised by parents for their safety). We hope we see you there!
